this is from my friend nochtal..one wizard that i know:
My dear students and children come sit around, and listen to tales that long ago began!" The old Sage sits in his tall arm chair, with his long grey beard. "If you have heard this tale before, listen intently for more than you heard." With the raise of the staff and the flash of the fire place, epic tales begin and webs of stories now lay. "But alas, who is to say, if this be true or fiction today? Did you learn a lesson from it? Then there must be truth in it some way!" And thus the Sage does part his way, niether to the North or South, East or West, but simply indeed, to his next quest. Stories of old and myths of new, all bear witness to lessons for you! From Tiamat's splitting by Marduk, to Hades love affair with Hecate, Diana's decent to the Lands of the Underworld, to the very breathe of the story itself. "Listen closely to the breeze in the trees, for there shall my voice be heard, and more lore shall be shared!" The old Sages are wise, and tricky on their feet, share dare not outwit them, their stories you cannot beat! You try to trick them, and you shall soon see, their presence there was a story you just havn't seen! Perhaps now a walk we all should take, down a path a Sage does make. And if we keep our eyes wide awake, we may become a Sage that does speak, of tales and legends that help man learn, in parady and paradox, and simple common sense. So here I do invite you to stay! And listen to the mythos of the day!

“Must each new spell be so exact? Exact unto itself? Varying from one to the next, like twins with such slight differences. I look deep, to find this difference of the same spell cast at two different times. It is this deep peering into the very basic set up of the spell energy that I have found the very Soul of the spell. This I shall call, the lesser spellsoul. I watched these spellsouls form with each spell cast by any practitioner, by any method. The result was always the same. One of these spellsouls burst into existence, and did the bidding of the spell cast. Once done, the energies driving instincts where fulfilled, and it’s death brought ‘bout. It ‘reincarnated’ back into existence. It was peculiar. I looked then into the simple making of a spellsoul. In doing so, after many long darkened moons I broke through! ALAS! I could see the very pattern! I could see the skeleton that protected and held the form of the flesh and inner workings of these creatures with such varying life cycles. Thus I formed one myself. Failure did not stop me! My first attempt’s results gave forth no fruit. So I looked deeper into the soul. Creating one with no purpose, no spell, it had no driving chakras. Thus I realized by comparing it to the very souls of all other creatures. I gave to it in the creation of just the spellsoul the Seven main Chakras. And alas, it was stable. But it had no mind. It had no thoughts. It simply was an entity, dormant. I looked deeper into myself. I saw my protections on my root Chakra, my spells of insight on my third eye. I saw how these enchantments I had placed upon myself, had truly aligned themselves with the chakra related to their function. It is amazing how more in depth these spells truly are! I have always prided myself, I hope not to be a fool because of such, in my enchantments. I have always been better in enchantments than some of the other ways. I thought to myself, if these enchantments come to be on the chakra itself, and not the body, this bodiless spellsoul, with the added chakras, a greater spellsoul, could have enchantments attached to it’s chakras as well. I cast the enchantment of amethyst upon it’s third eye, and it could hear, see and feel me. It was highly inquisitive of it’s surroundings. Next I gave to it the enchantment of Angel’s Voice, Demon’s Scream. An enchantment that allows the one enchanted to have a voice so beautiful and captivating while pleased, but able to scorn with the voice of a demon! It spoke to me in ecstasy. I allowed him to name himself. Jack was his reply. I added many other enchantments upon him, in the process of which I realized something different about this entity to others. And why it should still be considered a spellsoul instead of a golem entity. It could receive spells. But when doing so, it stored the spell, much like any grimoire or spellbook. And once received the spell, it could cast that spell itself. I fused the soul of Jack into a book at that point. Linking his entity to the book, and tattooed his flesh with spells, sigils, and workings. He absorbed each one! I gave to him a special one! ‘Jack be nimble, Jack be quick, Jack cast a spell as any Witch!’. Set up to receive power and energy from this incantation it was also a command spell cast to him at the same time, to que him to cast a spell within him. I was much pleased with my working and discovering thus far! I was pleased. It was my first project of occult and arcane workings after departing from the Celestial Courts, after millennia of being there with my brothers and sisters. Soon I discovered natural spellsouls that were of a greater kind as well. But they had no chakras. They were more along the lines of forgotten spells cast, failed spells, or uncompleted spells, or simply done wrong, that merged and became a compilation of spells roaming the planes.”

Nochtal
"I looked outside, only a glance, the weather was most dismal. The day was to be spent inside. Plenty of tombs still to be read, the day would not be lost to lack of travel. In that quick glance, a strange movement caught my eye. Clad in thick cloak and heavy hat, a small figure running towards my small home. Must be drenched to the bone, running through such heavy rain and wind. I kept my door, facing the south, the way the wind doth blow that day, so long ago, and watched as the figure grew, running against the wind. It did not seem to be so that he slowed. What strength, and of importance, did this young figure move with. I leaned upon my dark red oak staff. The smokey quartz hoisted upon the sturdy staff began to warm, warding against the cold of the outdoors.
"The figure came within a voices grasp, and forth I spoke to it, 'Who is it that dares to fair such weather, all the way to my abode?', and from the figure came forth a reply that warmed my heart. 'Master, I have come for my days lesson. Surely you didn't think this weather would stop me?' Pleasently surprised and ready to welcome some company, I brought him inside. Quickly I had him changed into a dry robe, his own cloak and clothes hanging by the fire. The door again closed, and dragon's blood offered serenity to the storm racked body of my apprentice.
"Death faced up at me, laying there on the table, next to the text of arcana I last was studying before arrival of my grand pupil. Earnest to see what would soon be reincarnated I drew another card. There it layed, the Tower. Again I would be within a new home, a new land. I drew upon another card. The High Priestess. Young Cleopatra had recently come to power. Soon she would need the aids of High Priests, the last card drawn.
To be continued....(sorry, my best friend Chris wants to cuddle and watch the Brotherhood of the Wolf. Loves you all! I'll post more tomorrow morning!)
