Man in the Mirror
Who is he,
Who is this man I see?
I see him everyday,
Everyday in the exact same way.
Is he a man of virtue,
Or a man of anger and greed.
Is he a man that will fight
For honor and those in need,
Or is he a man that fights
For his own selfish deeds.
Who is this man you ask,
The one who stands before me.
The man in which I speak of
Is none other than me.
Sleepless Nights
I dream of time long since past
Of abandoned love and forevers trash.
They haunt my nights when sleep arrives,
And spring from the shadows when I close my eyes.
The love I've lost and futures unknown
Bocking what I learned and know.
So here I lay awake at night
Wondering if what I do is right.
My Love for You
I thought of you last night
A little after two,
About how your shine as bright
As the sun and the moon.
Your skin is soft like a mid-sumer rain
While your smile carries my soul
To this poetic domain.
You lifted my heart from a dark abyss
The moment we shared our very first kiss.
Even if we can never be together
I will still love you from now till forever.
